Historic Houses. Historic and picturesque, our houses are ideal for families and similarly large groups. Lodges Map. Get in touch. Chipped mugs. Travel cot smelt like baby sick. Needs cleaning properly not just a quick hoover found a dogs bone underneath the settee and a years worth of muck.
Bad smell of sewerage in the on suit toilet and outside the front of the lodge. Lovely staff in restaurant breakfast definitely worth the money. Enjoyed our stay but these lodges need maintaining properly specially with whats going off in the world. Date of stay: November Trip type: Traveled with family. Helpful Share. This was our second stay in 2 years and we would definitely go again; our first stay was in the the cottage near reception and this time the six of us stayed in one of the Moorland Lodges.
First off - Staff are brilliant! There were a few minor issues with the lodge itself but we put this down to wear and tear it being the end of the season after a very busy year of staycationers We had breakfast every day at Hindelinis and every day it was excellent - top quality food and service the girls in the restaurant were rushed off there feet but could not have been any more helpful and friendly.
We visited Halloween weekend and they all made a fabulous effort to dress up - outside was decorated with festoon lighting and pumpkins and the firepit was warm and welcoming! We had one night in with Pizzas from Hindelinis which were excellent - as were the house own French Martini's.
We had lovely walks and shopping trips during the days. We ate at La Locanda on the Friday night which was absolutely stunning - seasonal food and excellent service. We had a decent Sunday Roast at the White Bull - but we had booked for 5. Date of stay: October Value. Sleep Quality. Nelson, United Kingdom 1 contribution. Lovely stay but improvements need to be made! We loved our stay at Ribblesdale Park and we would come back.
We stayed in Wentworth The hot tub was checked every day in the morning and it was nice to be secluded and have use of it whenever we wanted. The lodge was beautiful, clean and the bed was really comfortable. It was lovely and warm once we got the thermostat working especially with the underfloor heating. The grounds are beautiful and we did the Ribblesdale loop walk a few times. We absolutely loved seeing the peacocks and the kittens roaming around but the only thing I would say is for anyone booking and taking their dog is to be aware they come into your garden regularly.
If people are staying with their dogs then during check in it really needs to be addressed to them that animals are roaming free. There are also a lot of mushrooms growing around the lodges which are toxic to dogs, they really should be pulled up especially when these lodges are dog friendly! I would come back and stay in a different lodge and hope for improvements but it is a great place to stay for a nice relaxing break. Date of stay: October Trip type: Traveled as a couple.

Our lodge was spotless on arrival there were a few little issues that were very quickly fixed with the friendly onsite staff! We ate at the onsite restaurant see separate review I had a wonderful relaxing massage and facial to with the wonderful Harriet who comes to the lodge so you dont need to go anywhere to just relax and be pampered!
We had a one bedroom with large freestanding bath which was perfect! Four poster bed was comfortable and crisp clean bedding supplied! We had a lovely warm bubbly hot tub that the guys onsite kept a close eye on! The lodge had all the things you need for a great stay. Large fridge and freezer ment we could stock up and have a few days just relaxing.
