When do smugglers get companions

Keeping in mind that all three specializations hold onto the abilities common to all Smugglers. While the advanced abilities tend to be stronger, there is always the baseline to fill in the gaps.

As a healer, the Sawbones is always welcome in a group. The Smuggler abilities will leave you the ability to run solo occasionally, but you'll never feel like a champ doing damage. The Scrapper is really at his best when he opens the fight from a stealthed attack at point blank range. There are longer range abilities, but they're not your payday. The Ruffian won't deliver the big hits the same way the Scrapper does, but with more mid range attacks is a little less dependent on the melee range opener.

Don't assume that melee is a problem, but you're not designed to take big hits the way a Trooper is. Regardless of specialization, the Scoundrel is going to have MANY abilities to track and will be very busy in a fight.

Learning to bring as many of those to your group as possible will mean the class is just as challenging at 60 as it was at Below is a table showing the companions available to the Smuggler and what gifts they like. Otherwise "O". It is equipped with a standard laser, torpedo batteries and mounted turrets. The XS Freighter is one of the fastest ships in the galaxy and featured several ways to secretly store cargo, making it ideal for smugglers.

Primary Attribute: Cunning. Gunslingers are extremely powerful when attacking from a secured cover position and receive several abilities that help ensure they remain in cover. Scoundrels also make excellent healers when playing the part of the underworld Sawbones.

Quick, Clever, Answers to No One Sometimes luck is more important than skill, but it never hurts to have both. Relations with the Republic Faced with choosing an allegiance in these uncertain times, Smugglers have been forced to consider the implications of trying to operate under the tight controls imposed by the Sith Empire.

Field Reconnaissance As smart and stealthy as Smugglers might be, surveillance recording from various spaceports and secured warehouses has captured them in the act. But as a new foe threatens Republic and Imperial worlds alike, the time has come for these old rivals to join forces Advanced Classes. Corso Riggs: Acquired on Ord Mantell. C2-N2: Acquired on Coruscant. Bowdaar: Acquired on Nar Shaddaa. Risha: Acquired after finishing Chapter 1.

Akaavi Spar: Acquired on Balmorra. Guss Tuno: Acquired on Hoth. Smugglers focus on single handed blasters and a clever cover mechanic. Some abilities are only usable from cover, so it is necessary that the player become acquainted with it quickly. All Smugglers are able to deal a good amount of damage, and the Scoundrel class is able to heal, but none of the skill trees provide the ability for a Tank role in group play. If you have enough at the end you may also consider increasing her Accuracy too.

Akaavi Spar is a melee DPS that we get around level Akaavi is DPS just like Risha but Akaavi leaps into groups of enemies and uses AoE explosions and fire attacks to combat multiple enemies at once. Akaavi has a stance to increase armor penetration and a stance that causes her attacks to cause a Damage Over Time DoT bleeding effect.

Akaavi is my personal favorite and I leave her in her DoT stance. I throw her into groups of enemies with all of her abilities active and watch her quickly murder group after group after group.

She is capable of fighting multiple mobs at once and she can even take down multiple Elites or Strongs at the same time you need to heal her constantly in those fights. Akaavi wears heavy armor and focuses on the AIM stat.

Akaavi uses a Techstaff or a Techblade and those weapons are sometimes very hard to get. Akaavi is a very effective companion for both tanking and DPS but the fact her weapons are so rare sometimes makes her frustrating to use.

It took awhile to get two armor sets but I swap them out for different fights… If I am fighting trash I use the DPS set and if I am fighting multiple strongs I put her in the tanking gear. Corso and Risha are great at fighting 1v1 but Bowdaar and Akaavi are great at fighting multiple mobs at the same time. If you want a single target tank you should consider using Corso. If you want a single target DPS queen you should consider using Risha. Can I change the way my companion looks?

Yes you can! There is a way to fix that: You can raise their affection by buying your companion a gift. Each companion likes an assortment of different gift types, with some more pleasing then others. In this guide, I'll be breaking it down by companion and telling you what will make them love you—and what will make them look for the nearest trash bin. As you get their affection higher, the effect of each gift lowers.

There are five ranks of gifts, and you'll want to give your companion the appropriate level of gift. You can tell what's a good gift by taking a look at their affection score. Each level is an even points and is graphically shown in segments on the companion tab of your character screen. Corso is your first companion and takes the Ranged Tank role, but you're likely to outgrow him as you level. You get him before you finish Ord Mantell and he is the single romance option for the female Smuggler.

Bowdaar takes the spot of your Melee Tank companion. You have to wait a little while before you can pick up Bowdaar as you don't get him till you're around level 24 while on Nar Shaddaa. Risha officially becomes one of your companions while your on Alderaan at around level Although not a tank, wearing heavy armor makes her quite tough for a DPS.

Akaavi is your second romance option for the male Smuggler. Tuno is your final companion and fills the Ranged Healer position. You find Tuno while on the planet Hoth and get him around level Your ship droid can only have its affection raised through gifts, but unless you plan on buying the legacy sensor units and send him on specific crew skill runs it's likely not worth it to max out his affection.

HK is the first additional companion added to the game. You must have a level 50 character to unlock him initially, but after that he can be unlocked on every character on your account.
